Flow Balance Within a Gaseous Fuel Manifold

A quick visualization study was requested to ascertain if the imbalance observed in a gaseous fuel burner was the result of poor gas injection to the underside of the fuel burner.

With air flow set to a constant level on the top side of the manifold, an air water mist was injected underneath into the plenum.

Injected fluid highlights the presence of an unequal strength vortex within the left and right recirculation zones.
